Tour Itinerary : 4 Days Tour Fes to Marrakech
Day 1 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today is the first day of your 4 day tour from Fes , you’ll be picked up from your Hotel / Riad in Marrakech in a comfortable air-conditioned 4×4 or minivan tarveling south towards Merzouga Sahara Desert . On the way, you will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the ” Switzerland of Morocco ” to enjoy its beauty.
After, then we’ll head to cross the famous Cedar forest located in Azrou city , where you’ll have the opportunity to see monkeys . Our trip will continue to Midelt via small Berber Villages and cross the pass of Tizi n Tlghamt to reach Errachidia while Enjoying the views of Ziz gorges. Later on, you’ll have a stop for a panoramic view of palm trees along Ziz valley.
On the road to Merzouga Desert we’ll pass by Erfoud, where you may visit local fossil craft workshops . Afterwards, we’ll continue to the captivating Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes.( Overnight at a local Riad or hotel in Merzouga Village).
Day 2 : Merzouga – Camel Trekking & Off-road Desert Adventure
After having a delicious breakfast , our tour guide will take you in confortabel 4WD to start your desert off-road adventure; in order to explore the berber villages beside the Erg Chebbi Golden sand dunes. It is a great occasion to experience the nomad’s way of life as they still living under the Berber tents; and taking care of herds of cattle, goats and camels .
we’ll head back to Merzouga. After relaxing for few minutes; we’ll have an other adventure on Camel’s back to watch and live one of the worldest amazing sunset landscapes.
Before that we continue our adventure you’ll have the time to take some lovely pictures from the highest point of the sand dunes , Arriving at our desert camp . You’ll be welcomed with a delicious cup of tea. Have free time to walk , climb and explore the area around the camp.
Have a traditional meal for dinner. And listen to authentic Berber music, dancing around a campfire; while watching the starry sky and the rising of a great moon lighting the Sahara.
Day 3 : Merzouga Desert – Riassani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
This is the third day of our trip after a great off road adventure and nomad experiences. At early morning your camel guide will wake you up to watch and enjoy one of the best sunrise landscape in your lifetime.
After breakfast, you’ll ride camels returning back to your Riad or Hotel in Merzouga. Where your friendly tour guide is waiting for you to travel to Boumalne Dades Valley.
We’ll cross Tafilalt oasis where we’ll have a short break to visit the market of Rissani (Souk) . And have opportunity to shop the way the locals do. We’ll continue our journey to Tinghir and Todra Gorges, for a walk along the canyons of about 300m high, a preferred place of mountain climbers. Then continue taking the road through the wonderful river.
Arriving at the afternoon and have the opportunity to take a walk to explore the Dades Gorge; one of the most beautiful and amazing sites in South East of Morocco. (overnight including dinner in Riad / Hotel in Boulmane Dades).
Day 4 : Boumalne Dades – Ouarzazate – Marrakech city
After having breakfast we’ll Begin our Journey by traveling to Marrakech from Dades Valley via Ouarzazate .We’ll take the path of thousand Kasbahs stopping at Kalaa Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses. We’ll reach Ouarzazate to view the Kasbah of Taourirt that was built by the Glaoui dynasty.
After wards, we’ll head to explore the exotic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou UNESCO world heritage site, it is famous for being used as a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and for the famous HBO series Game of Thrones. Later on, you’ll be driven across the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260 m).
Have enough time to take photos of the panoramic views and enjoy the scenes of High Atlas Mountains, with small Berber villages along the way. Arrive in Marrakech the red city of Morocco, and drop off at the Hotel/ Riad in Marrakech or other place of your choice. End of our trip full of great adventures and amazing sightseeing.
